The Challenge

A current customer of VIGILIX was experiencing some inefficiencies in their technology and discovered that there was a virus impacting multiple devices.

While the customer was able to locate many cases of this particular virus within their servers, they did not have the capabilities needed to check every device to ensure that the virus was removed and that they were completely clean.

The Solution

The customer reached out to VIGILIX to help make sure they were completely clean. VIGILIX worked with the customer to enable real-time, rapid, and thorough analysis of security events originating from internal and external sources to the customer’s network. The VIGILIX system can detect anomalies and uncover advanced threats. The customer provided the virus’s signature, a specific I&I file, which VIGILIX then plugged into their backend to search. 

The Result

From the search, VIGILIX quickly found six systems that the customer didn’t know were infected. While the customer may have eventually found the source of the problem, they wouldn’t have been able to tackle the issue in such a short time without the help of a VIGILIX partnership. “If we wouldn’t have found it when we did, the virus could’ve caused a lot more damage,” said Colin Martin, General Manager at VIGILIX. “When our customers run into scenarios like this, we don’t charge extra. This customer needed our help, so we just did it. That’s the value of a VIGILIX partnership.”
