May Employee Spotlight: Jim Jasinski
VIGILIX is thrilled to announce Jim Jasinski as our May Employee Spotlight! Jim serves as Partner Engagement Manager at VIGILIX and has been with the company for four years.
Jim started his career in the military where he served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He then went on to receive a degree in electronic engineering. Jim entered the point-of-sale (POS) world shortly after and has now been in the industry for over 20 years.
When asked what he enjoys most about working in the POS industry, Jim explained that the POS industry is a tight-knit group and that his path often crosses with other experts in the industry. This has opened doors and presented him with unique opportunities that he otherwise wouldn’t have had access to. “Sometimes it’s a matter of being in the right place at the right time, but that has really kept me in the industry,” he said. “The people I’ve met on this journey are amazing and a lot of them I still have in my professional network.”
In his position as Partner Engagement Manager, Jim is the primary liaison between the customer interface and the development, or internal interface. Jim wears many hats in his role and while no two days looks quite the same, he is responsible for fielding customer needs and collaborating with project managers and the development team to ensure those needs are met.
Jim is also responsible for communicating with customers to make sure recent changes work the way they intended, as well as executing sales demonstrations for both new and existing clients. His goal is to be a resource and teach users how they can use the VIGILIX platform to best support their customers.
Jim is an advocate for the company culture at VIGILIX and is looking forward to the day when the company transitions back toward working in the office after the COVID-19 pandemic dies down. “The team is awesome from the top down. “Watching everyone come together with our different skillsets is amazing,” he said. “I can’t wait to see the team face-to-face again.”
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Jim is a major Cleveland sports fan. When he isn’t working or watching sports, he also enjoys landscaping and doing projects around his house.
